Ingrid E. Handeland

Ingrid E. Handeland has been the director of Audiences Norway (NPU) since 2012. Throughout the past 5 years, she developed Audiences Norway into a professional audience development platform working across the arts and cultural sector in Norway and beyond. She has a unique point of view and strong expertise on the Norwegian cultural sector and the state of audience development. 

During the conference, she is sharing the fresh insights of the key findings and trends discovered in the surveys, which have been conducted in collaboration with Opinion AS since January 2016.

 Prior to her position as the director of Audiences Norway, Ingrid for over 13 years worked with audience development in the role of Marketing, Communications and Information managed at the Norwegian National Theatre. She was responsible for the interpretation, dissemination, branding, visual profiling, information and marketing.  Ingrid is a passionate writer and has written and in 2002 published the Torshov Theatre jubilee book “Et eget sted”.

Ingrid is educated in History of Ideas and holds a degree in Ideology from the University of Oslo (1999), with focus on Philosophy and Musicology. She also studied Information Management at the BI Norwegian Business School.
