Anne Holck Ekenes

Panta Rei Dance Theatre engages numerous audiences with their dance projects. Through the ´Tilt´project, which received a support of 11 million Norwegian kroners from the Sparebankstiftelsen, they had engaged all the generations of people, inside and outside the cities, with or without previous experineces with participation in dance performances either as audiences or performers. How did they succeed running such a large-scale dissemination project with a small administration? 

Anne Holck Ekenes (Master of Arts) is the CEO and Artistic director of Panta Rei Dance Theatre. She has studied at Trinity Laban, London, where she did her BA (Dance Theatre), writing her dissertation on dance as a tool for children with behavior- and learning difficulties. Anne did her MA (Dance Theatre) in performance, dance for camera and choreography. Her dissertation explored the relations between dance and film. Anne established Panta Rei Danseteater in 2000. Since being established, Panta Rei has enjoyed recognition for providing fresh, exciting and inspiring performance- and outreach programs. The company has its base in Oslo, Norway. Anne was Performing Arts Officer in the county of Akershus in Norway from 2006-2013. From 2013-2015 Anne was employed by The House of Dance in Oslo where she led the research into a national network for dance.
