Ådne Sekkelsten

If Ådne Sekkelsten with The Norwegian Touring Network for the Performing Arts (Scenekunstbruket) realizes their long-dreamed project, Oslo will benefit with a new platform for the youngsters and the performing arts. Realization of the project represents another ´success´ for all the firm believers in the importance of the performing arts for the society.

The question however remains on how Kloden is going to provide a platform not limited to the established field of the performing arts, but become a multicultural meeting place rooted in the local community reflecting the diversity of artistic practices in the ´new´Norway?

Ådne Sekkelsten is the director of Norsk Scenekunstbruk - The Norwegian Touring Network for the Performing Arts. His educational background includes both Acting and Theatre Studies (University of Oslo) and Cultural management (BI). Mr Sekkelsten has over 10 years of experiences in the field as actor, director and producer. As part of the Norwegian Touring Network for the Performing Arts, Mr Sekkelsten in 2005 established a ´Showbox Festival for the Performing Arts´, of which he is also the Artistic director.

Since the establishment in 1998, The Norwegian Touring Network for the Performing Arts on a national level played a major role in communicating the performing arts to young audiences.
